Heat-resistant and resilient cable protection

Insultherm® AERO is a fiberglass insulating sleeving with different wall thicknesses that is ideal for high and low voltage applications. Its high temperature resistance and flexibility make it particularly suitable for the tight radii of high-voltage applications in electric vehicles. It is not flammable or fusible. Insultherm FIA corresponds to the insulating material “Fireflex” from the USA and complies with the applicable AS1072 standards.
Halar®, for example, is a self-extinguishing material for braided hoses. It was specially developed for applications that require high temperatures and chemical resistance. The fire-retardant and smoke-suppressing material Halar is particularly suitable for cables in sensitive areas, such as near jet engines. It is also resistant to a wide range of chemicals.
Vectran® has exceptional material strength and temperature resistance. This makes Vectran high-performance fiber the ideal choice for protecting cables in aircraft and spacecraft.
Flexo® PFA (Teflon) is also resistant to heat and chemicals and at the same time has low outgassing. This makes this material particularly suitable for plenums.
Another plus point of the Techflex range for cable protection for aerospace applications: Lacing tapes (military specification MIL-T-43435) made of different materials and various coatings bundle both stranded wires and heavy power cables. They have good resistance to liquids and solvents, which are mainly used in aircraft engine applications. They are also particularly temperature-resistant - both in extreme cold and heat.
